- COUNCILWOMAN JOYCE CAMERA swore-in the ‘09 line officers.
- The Seaside Heights Fire Auxiliary presented the SHFD with a check for $1000.00 from funds raised in ‘08.
- COUNCILMAN RICH TOMPKINS was issued an award for being Chief Engineer.
- Eric Hershey was named, “Rookie of the Year”.

SHFD selling coupon books…
November 5, 2008 by popartpeteThe Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Department is selling a coupon book called, Jersey Shore Enjoy, which offers discounts at businesses in Ocean and Monmouth County. Cost of the book is $20.00, and proceeds in part will benefit the SHFD, Station 44. Discount coupons featured included those for McDonald’s, Six Flags, Enterprise Car Rental, and more. Mike Cerosky of 23rd Avenue in the South Seaside Park section of Berkeley Township lived in one of the two houses that caught fire on the street on the afternoon of Thursday April 23rd. Mike said all his gas appliances began smoking at once, and right after he was able to cut electric and gas to the house, a huge fire erupted.
